
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, Executive Chair of Gaza Health Initiative and General Manager of the Specialty Hospital, held a meeting attended by the presidents of a number of international and local organizations and associations supporting Gaza Strip. The meeting provided an opportunity to meet and highlight the projects that these organizations are providing to rebuild the health sector in Gaza. They discussed the main challenges they face and how to cooperate to overcome these challenges. The attendees called for an end to the aggression and the unrestricted opening of the aid crossings so that they can rebuild the health sector in Gaza.
Dr. Al-Hammouri stressed that Jordan is delivering the largest amount of aid to Gaza Strip, especially after the closure of the Rafah crossing. He explained that the meeting aims to enhance cooperation and partnership between the parties working to rebuild the health sector in Gaza. He also praised Jordan's pivotal role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in political and humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people in general and the Gaza Strip in particular.
It is worth mentioning that the Gaza Health Initiative (GHI) includes more than 50 partners from international and local organizations concerned with rebuilding the health sector in Gaza. The GHI partners that attended the meeting; Fajr Scientific, Alkhidmat Foundation, Humanity Auxilium, Medics Worldwide, Law for Palestine, Doctors Without Borders, Arab Relief Society, Jordanian Engineers Association, The Arab & International Organization to Construct in Palestine, Taawon Foundation, Miles of Smiles, Beit Al Mal Foundation, Jordan Chamber of Industry.
At the end of the meeting, and on behalf of the Gaza Health Initiative, Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri honored the presidents and representatives of the associations in recognition of their efforts to support the people of the Gaza Strip and alleviate their suffering.
