Who We Are: About the Gaza Health Initiative

The Gaza Health Initiative (GHI) was founded by Dr. Omar Lattouf and Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri and other individuals and humanitarian organizations in response to the devastating attack on Gaza in October 2023. Officially launched in February 2024 during the First International Conference to Rebuild the Health Sector in Gaza, the conference was under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein in Amman, Jordan. Today, GHI has grown into a global coalition of more than 50 healthcare and humanitarian organizations from all over the World, united in their commitment to help the people of Gaza in providing access to quality healthcare services by rebuilding and strengthening Gaza’s healthcare sector.

This initiative is registered under the name “Global Health & Relief Initiative (GHRI)” as a non-profit entity in Jordan and in the process to be registered in Holland and The United States of America.
